The adult human body is roughly 60% water. The average person might spend roughly 26 years of their life asleep. According to a recent Reebok study, the average person spends 117 days of their life having sex. Human babies spend roughly 9 months suspended in fluid before coming earthside.

Remember your first, or your latest sex dream? Remember the first or the last time you went swimming?

The Den Mother is looking for performances, installations, readings, writings, video, *~*~participatory experiences~*~* and bad ideas that explore the intersection of water, dreamland, and your hottest desires.

Consider: Nocturnal emissions. Wet t-shirt contests. Sleep paralysis demons. Vengeful mermaids. The immateriality of dreams. A holy trinity of c*m, spit, and lube. Rising sea levels. Water births. Lucid dreaming. Dreams of a world where our water sources are not constantly under threat by industry.

Too many mixed symbols? That’s what dream dictionaries are for. Get wet, get dreamy.

Smut Nite #13 will take place as part of Nextfest 2020 on June 12.

How to Submit

• Submissions will remain open until the event is full, but priority will be given to projects submitted before May 1, 2020.
• Submissions can be made with this google form or by emailing the Den Mother directly at nxtfstdenmother@gmail.com
• Participants must be over the age of 18 for this event.

Please note: though Smut Night is open to all to flaunt and tease and bump and grind, this night will centre diverse/queer bodies, abilities, and genders. Queer, trans, fat, disabled and BIPOC artists to the front, please!
