Visual Art

Check out the 2017 Nextfest Mural on the west-side of the new Varscona Theatre, or drop in on one (or all!) of our Gallery locations during their business hours and see some sweet art.

The Nextfest Mural is a collaboration between an experienced mural mentor, Luke Ramsey – best known in Edmonton for his work on the John Howard Society building on 100 Avenue and 105 Street – and a student painter, Wei Li, to create a mural on the west-side wall of the new Varscona Theatre.

This project is possible due to the continued support of the Old Strathcona Business Association, Capital City Clean-Up and the Varscona Theatre.

The Nextfest Galleries feature a diverse collection of new work from visual artists. All Visual Art venues will have audio tours available from What It Is Podcast. Ask the venue volunteer and toss it in your ear holes!
